i say nexius uses a quake 3 engine mod called dark places totally free, fast paced, and intense

BF:2 FTW!!!!. I know we already played it once and I did miss it, arg!, but its a great game and really doesn't get old. Also they are coming out with a new patch for it after some time now, so its a great choice for LAN parties in general.

I would really like to see a Descent I/II Lan Party sometime. It's a great game, especially for multiplayer anarchys.

You can't call yourself a gamer if you can't rock it old school style. I nominate a FREE retro 2D shooter called 'Teeworlds'. Imagine a cross between Kirby's Adventures and Contra as a multiplayer deathmatch. Check out the screenshots at www.teeworlds.com and let me know what you think.

I personally like the free Americas Army game. Loads of people will be able to play it, and it's a good and realistic game aswell.

COD 4 or BF2 I missed the BF2!!!

I'd like to nominate Heretic2. It's challening and has good graphics. It's great for online play.

I would also like to see an openarena tournament. The great thing about taht game is that its opensource and free...AND it works on PC, Mac and Linus.

One really cool 2D game that would be really fun is Soldat. It's basically an advanced version of worms with soldiers and multiple weapons. i think you can make your own custom WADs too!
